What do you and I expect?

Its been awhile since Ive started another thread and I dont really like to write about anything unless I feel a certain passion it. Something that is getting my attention lately is the fact that we are losing clan members. This disturbs me. I hate to see anyone leave whether its on good or bad terms. So whats going on? What do we expect from being a part of this clan?

My expectations are very simple: To make new friends; Be there if a friend needs another player to play with; Give and receive helpful advice on a game or things of a personal nature if needed. I dont think my expectations are to high and Ive never felt unsatisfied by being apart of this clan. Quite the contrary, I still feel honored to be a part of it and will continue to do so until Im not wanted or needed anymore.

So what do you expect? If you are having problems with a clanmate, please try to clear the air with a private message. Open the lines of communication. We're all here because we want to be, not because we have to be. We are all different and each has their own opinions on various things. Thats to be expected. If I had to disagree with someone, youd better believe Id say something. Theres no point in keeping something bottled up because youll definitely explode. Lets talk to each other!

I think you make a really great point here: What is it we expect from the clan? On a personal level, I think I'll talk about the key reason the clan was formed in the first place. Back when ACR's beta was revealed a few groups started forming and people were preparing to have their own groups and what not in hopes of clan or "guild support" for ACR. This never actually came to be, however from this a few different clans formed like OST, NAO and even us for example. I honestly never joined any clans and was even the type to say clans are unnecessary, in part from all I heard horror stories from other clans about their inner workings.

SO why this clan?

After all this Pinoy and I were playing a manhunt and he mentioned he'd been invited to join a clan and asked if I had. I hadn't, but he had the full intention of seeking to recruit me. During his process of recruiting me however I kinda got the sense that he wasn't all that 'thrilled' about it lol so I said "Dude, make your own clan and I'll join"... as a bit of a joke but we took it seriously and decided that if we were to do it we would have to pick only the people we know represent what we do.

So what do we do?

We, ROGUE's first priority is to enjoy the game we play. A relaxed level-headed group who find the game to be something we all enjoy and want to play together. Not overly dramatic, the whole point is to organize and have fun. Secondly we are some of the best players out there but that really isn't the point of being the best or better or anything of that nature.

Slowly over time as people stopped playing and others began to drift we've come to a cross roads. Some feel we do nothing, while others prefer the "nothing" they find. The peace and quiet you can find.

I think what I want from the clan is this: When I sign on to PSN, to have a group of friends to play some games with. To have people to kick back and enjoy good times with. To play wanted and manhunt and assassinate and uncharted.

All the lag and constant bullshit that goes on in games kinda sours the flavor of our main game (Assassins Creed) so we end up not doing many of the things we planned, but I personally don't have a problem with that.

If you guys want more, we can do more lol

I'm new in the clan and some of you might not know me all that well yet, though here I go:
For me, the importance and fun of being in a clan lays with its members.
I joined this clan because Rocket asked me to join and I heared a lot about you guys, so I joined to find out that my expectations were right: This clan is a group of close friends who like to play every once in a while.

That's what I want in a clan, just a relaxed group of people I enjoy playing with and enjoy sharing my interests with.

Also, when someone's going through a bit of a rough patch you guys always seem to cheer each other up which I think is great. It shows that you care for each other and support each other in whatever situation one is in.

I'd like to say that I'm grateful to be part of this great group of friends brought together in this clan ;D

My sentiments echo what everyone else has been saying, has been feeling: to have fun. For me, gaming in general is a way to have fun. I'm usually a solo player, and AC is the first multiplayer series that I have played.

At first, I played to get a good score - not to beat anyone, but to best myself. I wanted a good score for ME.

Then, I started meeting friends. And soon, scores became irrelevant. Winning...became irrelevant. I played to "hang out" with these new friends.

It's no longer the game, it's the WHO.

This clan has some of the nicest, funniest and most talented people in the AC fandom. I've ~learned~ how to better myself as a player, from just playing and watching you guys (in the creepiest way possible). I've laughed until I've cried. I've had some AMAZING times that I know I wouldn't have had with anyone else, because we play the game to have FUN. We don't rage quit. We don't break shit.

~I~ rage, but if you know me, raging is my norm. I'm an overly-dramatic person and raging is pretty much me having tea and biscuits with you. And I hope you guys don't take me seriously on that, because most of the time, I'm giggling as I'm raging, because it's funny. I just like being dramatic, lol!

Times when I'm really angry, I'm super quiet and I don't speak. It's anger, coiled and controlled. I seethe a lot, but NOT when I'm playing in a land of make-believe, lol!

So yes...all that to say um...what I have come to expect from this clan, has not only been achieved by you fucking awesome people, but it's been surpassed. I mean it everytime I say that this clan is like family.

We have fun.
We make fun.
We teach.
We listen.

Most of all: we respect.

And that is something you don't find in ANY other clan.

Thats good to hear SwimmyBella! Im just getting a little concerned because we lost LadyMax, Sizzlemon, Chronomancy and now Tabeeba is talking about leaving, all within a few weeks. I mean, we all come and go as we please so it seems odd that people would want to leave or disassociate themselves with the clan. It doesnt seem necessary to do such a thing. We all have lives outside of the clan and I understand if we dont hear from each other for awhile but we dont have to leave. Know what I mean?

well as far as lady and sizzle ,they were an item,I always knew that if one of them left the other one would have followed.
Chrono just had to deal with so much shit guys,I don't blame him for wanting to get a break for good.When being part of a community brings you more drama than fun times that's your clue to leave.

For what I gained from tabeeba's posts on FB she was going through some drama and BS as well so I don't blame her for wanting to leave/take a break either.

The best thing to do is speak up, if you guys are upset about something talk about it and see if the clan as a whole can find a solution,no clan is perfect but luckily we have a leader like Charlie who makes everything so much easier than it is in other clans.

As a clan leader you will always have to put up with BS and stress,it comes with the job.

It's always sad to see people go but if this is what they want so be it.People come people go.

I personally joined the clan as i wanted to get to know some of the community. I'd been in clans previously and all it consisted of was drama and bitchyness, which i really hate. I heard of this clan on the Ubi forums and decided to check it out. It seemed like my kinda thing so i joined (:

This clan has some of the nicest members i've met. And just by speaking to Charlie when i applied i knew that this was going to be a friendly clan. Everyone is friendly and really caring and welcoming, which i noticed when i joined. After getting to know the clan members more, it became apparent to me that the people here weren't just fun and positive, but also mature which i really admire. (:

Because i admired the clan's positivity so much, i decided to invite two of my closest gaming friends to the group. (Dennis & Attila) They also shared similar likes and positivity, so i invited them knowing the welcoming nature of the group and how well they would fit in (:

I personally find a clan such as this really refreshing and unique. I love the fact that everyone is supportive and always there for people who are having a hard time or going through a difficulty. I really enjoy playing with the people in this clan and if i'm honest you guys are the reason i haven't sold my PS3.

I may rage or swear sometimes, but the people (you, yes YOU!) are what make the game for me. I'm glad i get to be a part of this clan, let alone a leader.

I just want to let everyone know i will always be here to talk to anyone if they need it. (:

The reason I joined this clan was, honestly, you guys were/are good to me. I had left my previous clan because there was no sense of closeness, it was like each man to his own. And I was always interacting with Swimmy, Tabby, Monty, Kurai and Bracey. But then the skye shenanigans started and I grew closer than ever to these guys.. And also, I made new friends Joshy, Adei, Gomy. And then more people.. And up until this point, I was not an official member of the clan but then, I became the official one.

I am a kind of a guy who never judges anyone but also calls spade a spade. Some people misunderstand me, get pissed off at me. But here, people are mature enough to understand and thats the most important reason why I still hang around with you guy.. And the second one s mutual respect..


I was once a very competitive gamer... Getting scores, improving skills, climbing leaderboards, testing myself.. But now, once I reached the top (well, I was top 5 on FFA leaderboards on xbox TG) but now, I am tired of it.. I paly to have fun and yet I still have my competitive side. When I play with you guys, I can be competitive and yet have fun at the same time and this adds to the reason as to why I want to be here..


And also, Tabby. Though he is the clan leader, everyone see him as a friend first and then a clan leader and that tells something.. Something about the positive vibes in this clan... True, not everyone can get along all the time 100%. But the chances of shit not hitting the fan is super high in this clan.. Another big plus..

Im lovin everyones posts. They are inspirational to say the least. We are from different walks of life and different parts of the world but first and foremost... WE. ARE. ROGUE!

Well when Tabeeb talked about creating a clan back in July of last year I encouraged him and I told him to persue this. He asked me to be a member and of course I replied with a "HELL YESS!"

I had also, like many of us, been in previous clans. The Borgia Rejects who eventually deminished. Also, the Outcast Templars, whose clan activity, by this point, was lowering. Apparently I am still a member of OT but nothing ever happens with OT anymore so I dont really consider myself as "multi-clanning".

Eventually SSR was created and we became this wonderful clan we all know of today and which we are all loyal members to. However, as time passed and new members joined and things became more set and stone, I realized something. It was something which we all have realized. SSR is not only just a clan. We are a family. <3

I was once a very competitive ACB player. I played for scores and for winning and kicking ass. Over then summer I was one of the top players on the "Templar Grading Pyramid" & all of that stuff. Then school started again shortly after the clan was made. I didnt have time to play anymore as I used to. Things changed. Instead of playing to play I began to play to play with all of my friends and fellow clan/family members.

The experiences I have shared with you all will always be at a place in my heart. I will never forget all the things that we have done. All those great times playing to where I hoped it would never end to the struggles we have all gotten through together. As I get older I will never forget any of you. I hope that one day I will be able to even meet some of you in the "real" world.

Finally, I would just like to thank each and every on of you for being who you are. Thank you for being a friend to me and for being here for me. You are all the kindest and most caring induviduals I have met in my young life. Sadly, I do not have any close friends in the "real" world. Do not get me wrong. I do have friends but not any close ones. I just do not bond with people at my school for some reason. I hardly ever "hang out" with anyone anymore. I do not know the reason why but that is just the way it is. I love each and every one of you. Thank you again for being here for me when I need you. <3 You do not know how much you haved done for me and how you have shaped me to be the person I am.

I hope that all of these experiences will continue and that our FAMILY will last forever.

I thought this was funny: A couple nights ago I was invited to play ACB MP with a nonmember. I joined the group and we all started talking about AC and different players. As we were talking about different players my nonmember friend said that everyone she runs into says theyre from SSR. "Everyones in SSR." I laughed and said you know what...Im in SSR. We're everywhere! lol

Everyone said pretty much all my thoughts exactly.
I didn't really start playing the AC multiplayer until about a year ago. I first joined OT after a major drama crisis and things slowly went downhill after that (constant bitching, ego's flaring, etc.). Ironically, I know a majority of you from my time in OT . What keeps me here is the people we have and the fact that we all get along so well. I don't think any other clan gets along as well as we do .
What I expect from everyone:
1. For everyone to be respectful. Just look at how many clans went under or are struggling because drama flared up between members.

2. If you do happen to have a problem with someone in the clan, try your best to clear it up before it gets out of hand

3. For everyone to have fun ;D
