Hello SSR. Ive come to a realization and I thought Id put it out here and have you all tell me what you think. After playing a few "super pro" matches with some of you last week I got to thinkin, really thinkin "I cant even play bad bad!" So why is this? I also started playing AC MP, both ACB and ACR, heavily again and this is what Ive noticed... I deal with a lot of lag. I get spawned within 5 steps of my pursuer probably 80% of the time. My abilities fail me a lot(lag?) and I make mistakes.
Now with all that Ive usually had a profile set for smoke/poison and x2 but always tried my best NOT to have to use it. Ive been playin the game the others want me to play and fail miserably most of the time doing so. Why am I doing this? I should be playing to my strength!
My strength(weakness) is getting stunned and killed more than most for various reasons so why not play on this? Im now using smoke/poison and x2 exclusively now and Im averaging way better scores than ever! I only have to depend on my abilities to work maybe 4 times a game. So while everyone is running around tearing each other apart for scraps I just sit back and get my ass kicked and rack up the points.
The point is that you should play to your strengths and do what makes you happy in any MP game you play. Dont let others dictate(Uh, he said Dick Tate) how you should play.
Later SSR!

This is my profile for Wanted, as well. Smoke/Poison/ and x2.
For Wanted, I play defensively. As soon as I get a pursuer, I go on the defensive. I rarely use offensive smoke because I always use it on the defensive, because more often than not, I have 2+ pursuers on me. Almost at all times. Even when I've been in 7th place. I have to rely on that defense to have some semblance of survival.
Like I said, I play defensive, pretty much ALL the time. It's rare that I don't have a pursuer, so this guarantees that I won't get the most kills. I am rarely in high profile. What I love about playing defensive is that your target will eventually come to you, because your pursuer is being pursued by someone who is being pursued by someone who is eventually your target. This way, you get to rack up on some defensive scores of lures and stuns and escapes, because you can really focus on locating your pursuer to take care of them.
If I can force to make my pursuer lose his contract, and I am without a pursuer for a few seconds, that is when I make my move: I'll then try to head towards my target. Again, as soon as I get another pursuer on me, I stop my ~hunt~ and move on the defensive again.
My problem is that I get killed more than I kill. My kill/death ratio is 0.89. I don't really care about the KDR, I focus more on my kill average, which is 581.26 (I think) at the moment.
But I definitely agree on playing your strengths. My strength is definitely on the defensive, and it's usually where I rack up the most points. I can easily get a minimum of 5k on defense alone, and finish with a 7 or 8k with 2 or 3 kills, with a well timed incognito, hidden poison and whatever type of variety, when I play Wanted.

@ Kraken... I started looking at my stats on ACR yesterday and when I started this new venture of smoke/poison x2 exclusivity, my K/D ratio was 1.2 and my average kill was 362. Now my K/D is 1.19 and my average kill is 373. It seems every two games or so my average kill goes up a point. Since I dont really care about prestige, I figured Id try to bring my average kill up. Since I keep buying my son games for his Wii instead of new games for me, I might as well try to have fun with what I have. Maybe someday Ill have a kill average like yours. lol

When I first started, I actually gave second thought to my KDR. So my kill average was in the 200s. Since I started playing ACR a little more, I stopped caring about the KDR, especially since I found myself ALWAYS on the end of 2+ pursuers. I really wish I had a PVR to record my sessions, because it's gotten really ridiculous, at times. I'll be in first, with 3 pursuers after me. I'll get a lure, and manage to stun 2 in my smoke. That's 3, right? Wrong. Somewhere between me taking out the 2nd and 3rd pursuer, another one latched on, who is OF COURSE, right beside me, and I get killed. Anyway, since I realized that I would never get a decent KDR, I just dropped it. It was not worth me getting angry over. So instead I concentrate on what I mentioned: honourable deaths, lures, escapes and stuns. And if I get a kill...well I get a damn good kill. ^^ The fact that you pretty much easily jumped from 362 to 373...it shouldn't be long. Wasn't for me. I've been playing quite a bit though - I think my play time is 5 days'ish. And I did start out with a low 200s average, and worked myself up. What I did notice was that my KDR goes up when I play Manhunt but my Kill Average goes down. Just last month, my average went down to 520. From 550 (which it was, at the time.) That's pretty damn big. So, I go back to Wanted and my KDR goes down, but my average goes up. I unfortunately, can not have it both ways. Hehehe.
